He has captivated audiences in prestigious venues across Europe and the Americas\, including the San Felipe Neri Oratory in Havana\, the Byron Library in Barcelona\, and the José Peón Contreras Theater in Mexico. His expressive interpretations have earned him recognition in major competitions\, including Second Prize at the José Jacinto Cuevas International Piano Competition (Mexico) and a Special Mention for the best performance of Heitor Villa-Lobos’ works at the Épinal International Piano Competition (France). \nA native of Cuba\, Víctor graduated summa cum laude from the University of the Arts (ISA) in Havana. He later refined his artistry under the mentorship of the legendary Joaquín Achúcarro at Southern Methodist University in Dallas\, Texas\, earning an Artist Diploma\, a Performer’s Diploma\, and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. He also pursued advanced studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. \nNow based in Spain\, Víctor is actively developing new artistic projects and presenting solo recitals in the region. He is particularly focused on programming that highlights connections between the Spanish and Latin American piano repertoire\, and on building collaborations with institutions and artists throughout the Valencian Community. \nAs a soloist\, he has performed with prominent orchestras including the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra\, the Yucatán Symphony Orchestra\, and the Lyceum Mozartiano de La Habana\, interpreting works by Beethoven\, Prokofiev\, and Mozart. As a collaborative pianist and chamber musician\, Víctor has worked with vocalists and instrumentalists in a wide range of settings\, including international festivals and academic institutions such as Southern Methodist University and Carnegie Mellon University. He was featured in the Voices of Change concert series\, performing contemporary works by Quinn Mason and Arlene Sierra. \nIn addition to his performance career\, Víctor is a dedicated educator. He has taught piano at the University of the Arts (ISA) and the National School of the Arts (ENA) in Havana and has given masterclasses focused on Cuban piano repertoire\, highlighting composers such as Ignacio Cervantes\, Manuel Saumell\, Ernesto Lecuona\, and Hilario González. \nHis recordings include contributions to the album Renovación Musical\, featuring works by Cuban composers Hilario González\, Edgardo Martín\, and Argeliers León. \nWith a strong commitment to musical excellence\, Víctor continues to share his passion for the piano through performance\, teaching\, and ongoing artistic exploration—both in Spain and internationally.
