Carolyn Brown
Sept 23 – Dec 31, 2016
Saint Matthew’s Cathedral Arts partnered with the Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Edith O’Donnell Institute of Art History in presenting a three-part collaborative exhibition on the various connections of early global trade and artistic production that spans a millennium from the Middle East (present-day Iraq and Turkey) to China, Spain, and Mexico.
Carolyn Brown presented “A Garden of Delight: The Golden Age of Iznik Tiles of Turkey.”
These three exhibitions examine types of ceramics produced globally thanks to strings of influence and early global connectivity.
